Scientism is the philosophical belief that science is the only—or overwhelmingly superior—source of genuine knowledge, often dismissing philosophy, ethics, and religion. Christians generally reject scientism because it elevates science beyond its proper limits and denies God’s revelation through Scripture and truths that cannot be established by scientific methods alone.
