marriage

« Back to Glossary Index

Marriage is the lifelong covenantal union of one man and one woman, traditionally understood as the foundation of the family and the normal context for bearing and raising children. In common usage throughout most of history, marriage referred specifically to the union of husband and wife.

In “Progressive” or woke circles, marriage has been hijacked to mean the legal or emotional union of any two or more consenting adults regardless of sex.
