The question may sound alarmist to some, but a sober look at the ideology fueling our cultural and political transformation reveals a disturbing pattern. Are we, as a nation, being led down a path that distorts our constitutional foundations and Judeo-Christian values in favor of something far more radical—something that echoes Marxist revolutionaries of the past?
I believe we are. And I believe it’s our moral and civic duty to expose and resist this threat while we still can.
What Is Neo-Marxism?
At its core, Neo-Marxism is an evolution of classical Marxism, adapted for modern Western societies. While Karl Marx focused on economic classes—capitalist bourgeoisie versus the exploited proletariat—Neo-Marxists reframe society through the lens of identity politics. This updated ideology classifies people into categories of “oppressor” and “oppressed” based not merely on wealth or ownership of capital, but on intersections of race, sex, sexuality, gender identity, and religion.
In this worldview, the “oppressor” class includes white, male, heterosexual, cisgender Christians—individuals presumed to hold systemic power. The “oppressed” include everyone outside these categories. What matters is not individual virtue or behavior, but group identity. Neo-Marxist thinking insists that only radical equity—meaning equal outcomes, not equal opportunity—can correct these so-called systemic injustices.
To achieve this, Neo-Marxists argue that the existing order must be dismantled: traditional family structures, law enforcement, capitalism, religious faith (especially Christianity), and the U.S. Constitution itself are all obstacles to their vision of equity. The 2020 riots, the vilification of police, the removal of historic statues, and the institutionalization of CRT (Critical Race Theory) in education all reflect this ideological shift.
From the Frankfurt School to DEI: A Brief History
Neo-Marxist roots trace back to the Frankfurt School—a group of German intellectuals in the early 20th century who sought to adapt Marxist theory for Western democracies. Thinkers like Antonio Gramsci and Herbert Marcuse proposed that revolution could not come through economics alone; instead, it would need to conquer culture, language, and morality. They introduced concepts like “cultural hegemony” and “repressive tolerance,” which encouraged suppressing conservative views in the name of social justice.
Fast forward to today, and these ideas manifest in DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) initiatives, CRT-infused curricula, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, and aggressive cancel culture tactics. These aren’t fringe ideas anymore—they’re embedded in schools, government agencies, corporate boardrooms, and even some churches.
Propaganda in Practice: The Nick Sandmann Case
A textbook example of leftist media manipulation is the 2019 incident involving Nick Sandmann, a Roman Catholic teenager from Kentucky. Sandmann and his classmates were in Washington, D.C., to participate in the annual March for Life. Many wore red “Make America Great Again” hats.
While waiting for their bus, the students were approached and harassed by black Hebrew Israelites shouting racial epithets and vulgarities. Then Nathan Phillips, a Native American activist, inserted himself into the scene, beating a drum inches from Sandmann’s face.
Mainstream media outlets—CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post—immediately ran with a manipulated narrative, falsely portraying Sandmann as a racist aggressor. Video evidence later revealed the truth: Sandmann had stood still, said nothing, and smiled awkwardly under pressure. But the damage was done. He was vilified, received death threats, and his school faced nationwide condemnation.
Eventually, lawsuits against CNN and the Washington Post led to settlements, but the broader point remains: the media exploited identity narratives for political ends, disregarding truth and fairness.
The Leftist Narrative Machine
Neo-Marxist ideology flourishes because it is narrative-driven. Instead of debating policies or facts, leftist ideologues rely on emotionally charged claims and identity-based grievances to fuel public outrage. Consider these recurring themes:
- Donald Trump is the symbolic head of white supremacy.
- Law enforcement officers are his personal Gestapo.
- All Republicans are closet racists.
- White people inherently benefit from “white supremacy.”
- Trump is a threat to democracy who seeks a dictatorship.
- Democrat leaders are noble defenders of liberty and justice.
These themes, repeated ad nauseam, shape how millions of Americans understand politics, history, and morality. And they are weaponized during elections, as seen in 2020.
One of the most potent narratives that helped Joe Biden secure the presidency was the idea that America is systemically racist and that only Democrats could save it from fascism. The media played its part by framing riots as “mostly peaceful protests” and portraying common-sense voting reforms as “Jim Crow 2.0.”
Election Integrity and Media Misinformation
When conservative states passed laws to tighten election security—by requiring ID, banning ballot harvesting, and cleaning up voter rolls—the media unleashed a smear campaign. Outlets like AP and CNN falsely claimed that such reforms were designed to suppress minority votes.
In reality, these laws do not prevent any legal voter of any ethnicity from casting a ballot. They simply close loopholes that were exploited in 2020. Yet, the propaganda was so effective that many Americans now equate voter ID laws with racism.
The January 6 Narrative and Political Weaponization
Another key element of the Neo-Marxist strategy is the selective use of political outrage. The January 6 Capitol riot, though criminal and regrettable, has been exaggerated beyond reason compared to the 2020 BLM riots that caused far greater damage.
Why the double standard? Because January 6 involved Trump supporters—and thus fits the narrative of a white supremacist insurrection. Meanwhile, violence by leftist activists is either ignored or excused as “understandable” responses to injustice.
The Pelosi-led January 6 Committee became a kangaroo court, not a search for truth but a spectacle designed to paint half the country as dangerous extremists.
Why Christians and Patriots Must Take This Seriously
Neo-Marxism is not merely a political ideology. It is a pseudo-religious system that offers its own doctrines of sin (oppression), salvation (equity), saints (activists), and heretics (conservatives, Christians, white males). It seeks not reform but revolution—not liberty but ideological conformity.
Christians must reject this false gospel. Our identity is not found in race, gender, or victimhood, but in Christ. Our morality is not defined by social trends but by God’s Word. And our mission is not revolution but truth in love.
Patriots must likewise defend our Constitution, free speech, equal justice, and the rule of law. If we fail to do so, the next generation will inherit a nation unrecognizable to the founders—and to God-fearing Americans.
Action Steps and Resources
If you’re concerned about media manipulation, I recommend the Capital Research Center’s YouTube series, “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Journalism.” It documents how major media outlets distort the truth to serve ideological ends.
To understand the real story behind Nick Sandmann, view “Nick Sandmann Speaks Out On Viral Encounter With Nathan Phillips” by NBC’s Today show—one of the few outlets that eventually offered him a platform to defend himself.
Conclusion
Neo-Marxism is not a theory—it’s a movement reshaping our institutions, our language, and our laws. It thrives in confusion, victimhood, and moral relativism. If we hope to preserve what’s true and good in our nation, we must recognize this ideology, call it by name, and confront it with truth, courage, and faith.

Some sources of information may reflect a libertarian and/or atheistic perspective. I may not agree with all of their opinions, but they offer some worthwhile comments on the topic under discussion.
Additionally, language used in the videos may be coarse and do not reflect my personal standards, particularly in regards to leftist protesters and rioters.
Finally, those on the left often criticize my sources of information, which are primarily conservative and/or Christian. Truth is truth, regardless of how we feel about it. Leftists are largely led by their emotion rather than facts. It is no small wonder that they would criticize the sources that I provide. And, ultimately, my wordview is governed by Scripture.
