The Islamic Republic of Iran is not merely a sovereign state with a unique worldview—it is a revolutionary regime that seeks to export its ideology through violent means. Guided by Shiite Islamic theocracy and the doctrine of vilayat-e faqih (guardianship of the Islamic jurist), Iran’s leadership believes it has a divine mandate to fight the “Great Satan” (America) and to annihilate the “Zionist entity” (Israel).
To achieve this, Iran funds, trains, arms, and directs a constellation of terrorist proxies throughout the Middle East. These include Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, and Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria. Together, they form what Iran calls the “Axis of Resistance.”
The United States has responded to this threat in sharply different ways under the Obama, Trump, Biden, and now second Trump administrations. The differences in policy have directly affected Iran’s ability to fund terrorism, destabilize allies, and potentially wage war.
President Donald Trump ordered the destruction of nuclear facilities in Iran using B2 Spirit bombers and 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordinance Penetrator (MOP) bunker-busting bombs that can penetrate the massive depths that these facilities reside in (over 200 feet). The bombings at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan yesterday (June 21, 2025) appear to have been very successful.
Iran and Its Proxies: Stated Goals Toward the U.S. and Israel
Iran and its proxies make no secret of their objectives. From founding charters to public speeches, their leaders openly call for the destruction of Israel, the expulsion of the U.S. from the Middle East, and the establishment of Islamic rule.
1. Iran (Islamic Republic)
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, declared in 2015:
The Zionist regime will not see the next 25 years.
Iran’s constitution mandates supporting “the just struggles of the oppressed,” which translates into funding and arming terrorists around the globe. Iran sees America as the leader of global arrogance and Israel as a cancer to be removed.
2. Hezbollah (Lebanon)
Founded by the IRGC in 1982, Hezbollah’s 1985 Open Letter states:
Our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated.
We combat abomination, and we shall tear out its very roots, its primary roots which are the United States and Israel.
Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s leader, has stated:
If they [Jews] all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.
3. Hamas (Gaza Strip)
The 1988 Hamas Charter is unequivocal:
Israel will rise and remain until Islam eliminates it as it had eliminated its predecessors.
The Day of Judgment will not come until Muslims fight the Jews and kill them.
Yahya Sinwar, a Hamas leader, stated in 2018:
We will tear down the borders and pray in Jerusalem, Jaffa, and Haifa.
4. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (Gaza)
Ziyad al-Nakhalah, PIJ’s Secretary-General, affirmed:
The war for Palestine will not end until the entire land is liberated… all of it.
America is the greatest devil, the enemy of the Ummah.
5. Houthis (Yemen)
The Houthis operate under the motto:
Allah is Greater, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse on the Jews, Victory to Islam.
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, their leader, stated:
We are part of the axis of resistance alongside Hezbollah, Iran, and the Palestinian resistance.
Summary Table: Iran’s Proxies and Their Stated Goals

---|---|---|---|---|
Hezbollah | Lebanon | Obliteration of Israel | “Death to America” policy | 1985 Open Letter; Nasrallah speeches |
Hamas | Gaza | Eliminate Israel and Jews | Condemns U.S. as Zionist backer | 1988 Charter; Sinwar and Haniyeh speeches |
Palestinian Islamic Jihad | Gaza | Total “liberation” of Palestine | U.S. = “Greatest devil” | Speeches by Ziyad al-Nakhalah |
Houthis (Ansar Allah) | Yemen | Destroy Israel, liberate Jerusalem | “Death to America” slogan | Movement slogan; al-Houthi speeches |
Iraqi Shiite Militias | Iraq, Syria | Symbolic anti-Israel stance | Expel and kill U.S. troops | Statements by al-Muhandis, al-Khazali |
U.S. Administration Responses to Iran and Its Proxies
1. Barack Obama (2009–2017)
- Strategy: Diplomacy and appeasement.
- Action: Entered the 2015 JCPOA (Iran Nuclear Deal), lifting sanctions in exchange for temporary nuclear constraints.
- Freed Funds: $100–150 billion in frozen assets; $1.7 billion in cash.
- Result: Iran used the funds to enhance missile technology, fund proxy militias, and expand its regional influence.
2. Donald Trump – First Term (2017–2021)
- Strategy: Maximum pressure and military deterrence.
- Action: Withdrew from JCPOA; reinstated crippling sanctions; ordered the killing of Qassem Soleimani.
- Freed Funds: None. Oil exports cut by over 80%.
- Result: Iran’s economy shrank, terrorism funding decreased, and Israel was strongly supported.
3. Joe Biden (2021–2025)
- Strategy: Return to diplomacy and appeasement.
- Action: Tried to rejoin JCPOA; released $6 billion in 2023 for hostage swap; eased oil sanctions de facto.
- Freed Funds: Billions via oil revenues and humanitarian claims.
- Result: Iran resumed uranium enrichment beyond 60%, funded Hamas’ October 7, 2023 massacre, and empowered Hezbollah and the Houthis.
4. Donald Trump – Second Term (2025–Present)
- Strategy: Return to maximum pressure.
- Action: Reimposed sanctions, blocked oil exports, froze access to international funds.
- Freed Funds: None.
- Result: Early signs show decreased funding to Hezbollah and Houthi disruptions. Iran’s economy is under stress once again.
Misuse of International and U.S. Aid by Terror Proxies
Iran’s proxies have consistently exploited humanitarian aid and infrastructure materials for terrorism.
- Hamas used UNRWA cement and construction aid to build terror tunnels into Israel.
- PA (Palestinian Authority) continues the “Pay for Slay” program, paying families of terrorists who kill Jews, using foreign aid funds.
- U.S. funds to UN agencies under Obama and Biden indirectly supported terrorist governance structures in Gaza and the West Bank.
The result: humanitarian materials are diverted into rockets, tunnels, and blood money, while civilians remain impoverished.
Domestic Threats: Jihadists Inside the United States
1. Immigration and Open Borders
- Record illegal immigration under Biden has led to hundreds of terror watchlist encounters.
- Middle Eastern nationals have crossed undetected.
- Hezbollah and IRGC operatives have been arrested within the U.S.
2. Home-Grown Jihad
- Universities have become fertile ground for radicalization.
- Islamist-aligned faculty, especially in Middle Eastern and ethnic studies departments, promote anti-Israel rhetoric, justification for jihad, and hatred of the West.
- Radicalized students graduate with sympathies for groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Neo-Marxists and Jihadis: A Tactical Alliance
On the surface, progressive Neo-Marxists and Islamic jihadists could not be more different. Neo-Marxists champion LGBT rights, feminism, and secularism, while jihadists uphold Sharia law, gender segregation, and the execution of homosexuals.
Yet these two movements find common cause in their hatred for the same targets:
- Western civilization
- Christian cultural values
- Israel as a colonial state
- The United States as a global oppressor
In woke ideology, both the U.S. and Israel are cast as settler-colonial states—oppressors that must be dismantled. This aligns perfectly with jihadist narratives of “liberating” Palestine and resisting “infidel occupiers.”
Thus, progressive universities and media outlets often ally rhetorically with Islamist movements, justifying or minimizing jihadist terror under the guise of “resistance” or “decolonization.”
Neo-Marxists have no compassion for the 1,200 Israelis murdered on October 7,2023. You see, toxic empathy displays no compassion for “oppressors” and “colonizers”. The Neo-Marxist belief system doesn’t allow compassion for those who have been coded as “oppressors” and “colonizers”. It is selective, and Israelis don’t qualify. Their deaths are “resistance”, not murder.
Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and many campus groups (like Students for Justice in Palestine) openly support Hamas-aligned positions, even after atrocities. This is not cognitive dissonance—it is ideological convergence. Both movements seek the destruction of Western, Christian civilization and believe in tearing down its foundations.
As Andrew C. McCarthy observed:
The hard Left and Islamic supremacists share a utopian vision of totalitarian governance—one secular, one theocratic, but both violently opposed to Western liberty.
Glossary of Terms
Axis of Resistance: Term for the alliance of Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, and others opposing U.S. and Israeli interests.

Woke Ideology: A progressive political movement emphasizing systemic oppression, victim identity, and revolutionary social justice aims.
Conclusion
Iran and its terror proxies do not merely oppose U.S. policy or Israeli borders—they reject the very existence of America and Israel as sovereign, moral, and God-ordained nations. The contrast between administrations could not be more stark: where Obama and Biden empowered and enriched Iran, Trump’s two terms (so far) have successfully constrained it.
The rise of homegrown jihadism is not merely a result of immigration policy—it is the product of Neo-Marxist subversion, academic radicalization, and the alignment of enemies who hate the Christian West.
We must stop feeding the beast of Islamic terrorism with appeasement, UN funds, and ideological blindness. It is time to recognize the internal and external enemies of liberty—and confront them with truth, law, and strength.

Nate Friedman is a street journalist who is very good at interviewing protesters. This episode relates to a rally at NYC concerning the Israel-Iran conflict. These people, who commonly claim they are for peace, reveal their anti-Semitism and desire for the destruction of Israel. Nate identifies one of the participants as part of samidoun (Palestinian Prisoner Soldarity Network). Samidoun is a Marxist organization based in Canada. It is sanctioned by Canada as a terrorist group. Germany banned them after they passed out candy to celebrate the October 7 massacre. The Tides Foundation, connected with George Soros, is behind this.
