The United States is undergoing a moral upheaval. A radical revolution rooted in Neo-Marxist ideology is targeting the Christian worldview, and it’s doing so with the force of law, the weight of federal bureaucracy, and the power of cultural institutions. Nowhere is this more evident than in how the left is attacking the Christian faith, marginalizing biblical convictions, indoctrinating our children, and weaponizing taxpayer dollars to support and spread its ideology—both at home and abroad.
The modern American left, bolstered by the Biden administration and aligned with progressive activists, is not just advocating policy changes. It is enforcing a new moral orthodoxy that is openly hostile to Christianity and traditional family values.
Neo-Marxism: A New Religion Masquerading as Progress
Neo-Marxism no longer speaks the language of economics but of identity and power. It classifies individuals as either oppressed or oppressor based on race, sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation. From this perspective, Christianity—which teaches absolute moral truth, the reality of two biological sexes, and the sanctity of unborn life—is inherently oppressive and must be dismantled.
This belief system functions like a de-facto religion. It has its own doctrines (gender fluidity, bodily autonomy, equity), its own sacred symbols (pride flags, slogans), and its own heresies (Christian sexual ethics, pro-life beliefs). Its evangelists are found in public schools, HR departments, and university classrooms. It is being imposed by law while Christianity is being punished by law.
The Myth of Neutrality: All Legislation Defines Morality
A common refrain from secular voices is that “you can’t legislate morality.” But every law, by definition, is a moral statement. Laws declare what is right and wrong, what is acceptable and what is punishable. To outlaw discrimination based on “gender identity” is to legislate a new moral framework—one that contradicts Scripture.
In reality, the left does not want to remove morality from governance; it wants to replace biblical morality with secular ideology. The problem is not that laws reflect moral values. The problem is that the left demands all laws reflect their values—and Christians must be excluded from the public square.
The War on Christian Pro-Life Advocates: FACE Act Abuse
One of the most visible signs of persecution is the Department of Justice’s use of the FACE Act to target peaceful pro-life Christians.
- Mark Houck, a Catholic father, was arrested by FBI agents in front of his children after defending his son from a hostile abortion escort. Local authorities had dismissed the case, but the Biden DOJ revived it to send a message: pro-life convictions will be punished.
- Elderly Christians like Joan Andrews Bell (76), Jean Marshall (74), and Paulette Harlow (75) received prison sentences for peaceful protests. Harlow, who suffers serious health issues, was mocked by the judge when her husband appealed for mercy.
- Eva Edl (89), a concentration camp survivor, now faces prison for protecting unborn children in America.
This is not justice. It is selective prosecution driven by political hatred of the Christian worldview.
Christian Parents Punished, Custody Removed
In progressive states like California, Oregon, and Washington, radical gender ideology has seeped into family courts and schools. Parents who resist it are increasingly treated as threats.
- California’s AB 957, while vetoed, would have required judges to factor in whether a parent “affirms” a child’s gender identity in custody decisions. The bill signals where the left is headed.
- Christian parents have lost custody or been sidelined because they refused to use pronouns that contradict reality or authorize irreversible treatments like puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
- School counselors and teachers have facilitated gender transitions without informing parents—even in conservative states.
The message is clear: the state, not the parent, determines a child’s identity.
Indoctrination in Schools: Targeting the Next Generation
Public schools have become battlegrounds for the soul of the next generation. In many places, the curriculum now openly promotes gender ideology, comprehensive sex education, and explicit sexual content—starting in elementary grades.
- Children are being taught that gender is a spectrum, that boys can become girls, and that refusing to affirm someone’s identity is “violence.”
- Biological males (XY) are allowed into female (XX) restrooms and locker rooms, endangering privacy and safety while silencing dissent.
- Comprehensive sex education programs, promoted by groups like Planned Parenthood, introduce children to sexual practices, birth control, and gender experimentation—without biblical moral context.
- School libraries in many districts include graphic books with depictions of man-boy sexual encounters, homosexual acts, and other material that would have been illegal in schools just a decade ago.
Even in Republican-led states, progressive superintendents, school boards, and educators often ignore or resist state guidance. Teachers’ unions and national education associations are firmly aligned with the LGBT agenda and are often more influential than parents or state legislators.
Funding the Moral Collapse: Your Taxes at Work
Christian taxpayers are being forced to fund their own moral erosion.
- The Biden administration reversed the Mexico City Policy, allowing U.S. foreign aid to fund abortions and pro-abortion advocacy overseas.
- Through USAID and the State Department, foreign nations are being pressured to adopt liberal sexual and gender policies as a condition of receiving aid.
- Federal dollars promote transgender surgeries and hormone therapies at home while exporting LGBT propaganda abroad.
- U.S. embassies fly pride flags and sponsor pride parades in conservative, often Christian, countries.
This is nothing short of moral imperialism.
DEI: The Secular Church of the New Left
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives are now the moral code of public and private institutions alike.
- Employees are compelled to affirm LGBT ideology or face penalties.
- Christians who dissent—even politely—are fired, demoted, or blacklisted.
- DEI is not about inclusion. It is about enforced ideological conformity, and it leaves no room for Christian ethics.
DEI has become a state-sponsored religion—complete with its own creeds and rituals—and biblical Christianity is the new heresy.
And, many church congregations are basically a secularized social club that supports most of the beliefs of the Neo-Marxists themselves. These include many of the congregations associated with the United Methodist Church (UMC), Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), Presbyterian Church – USA (PCUSA), the Episcopalian Church (TEC), Mennonite Churches – USA (MCUSA), Church of the Brethren (COB), and, especially, the United Church of Christ (UCC).
Some members and churches within these denominations remain faithful, though. There is a movement called Operation Reconquista that seeks to bring their denominations back to the orthodoxy of their founders.
A Word of Thanks—and a Call to Resolve
While the progressive left marches forward, not all is lost. The Trump administration courageously stood against much of this radical agenda. President Trump’s reimposition of the Mexico City Policy, support for religious liberty, and appointments of constitutionalist judges helped slow the cultural collapse. Republican governors and legislatures across the country are working to ban gender surgeries on minors, protect parental rights, and expose school indoctrination.
But the battle is far from over.
Even in red states, local school districts and education officials often defy conservative leadership. Many superintendents, counselors, and educators embrace progressive ideologies. The National Education Association and American Federation of Teachers remain deeply entrenched in leftist politics.
That’s why Christians must remain vigilant—not only voting wisely, but showing up at school board meetings, running for office, educating their children in truth, and praying without ceasing.
Conclusion: Standing Firm in the Evil Day
We are not witnessing a neutral shift in politics—we are witnessing the replacement of Christianity with a counterfeit faith, one that demands worship, compliance, and sacrifice. The cost of faithfulness will rise, but our hope remains unchanged.
As Paul told the Ephesians, “Put on the whole armor of God… and having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13).
Now is the time for truth. Now is the time for courage. Now is the time to stand.
